LEARN WHILE YOU NETWORK WITH THE EXHIBITION INDUSTRY’S BEST THIS JANUARY
The Association of African Exhibition Organisers (AAXO) welcomes the New Year with excitement. In less than two days the doors will open for the 2018 edition of the Exhibition of Exhibitions. This event will once again showcase some of the best exhibitions in South Africa as well as the latest creative designs and technology trends. AAXO gladly invites you and your company to attend this industry leading event taking place from 31 January to 1 February 2018 at the Blue Wing Conference & Events Centre, situated in the Ticketpro Dome.
The Exhibition of Exhibitions (EoE)
After the immense success of the 2017 edition of the Exhibition of Exhibitions, this year’s exhibition promises an action-packed agenda that is set to raise the bar of expectations. The EoE will not only showcase exhibitions that are taking place in 2018 and beyond but will give exhibitors an opportunity to see various types of stand building, design and creative trends that are available when planning their stand at an exhibition. New trends and technology will be highlighted at the event and it will be a great opportunity to network with like-minded marketing people who have already discovered the power of exhibitions as a marketing platform.

Safe Management at Exhibitions and Events Training
Event safety is becoming more and more important. True to AAXO’s mission to raise standards and educate, we bring world-renowned Safety and Security guru, Simon Garret to the EoE. Simon holds a Masters Degree in Management Practice, is a Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and is a venue security specialist in the United Kingdom. He will share his knowledge and vast experience with delegates during the two-day course on Safe Management at Exhibitions and Events. Aimed at a broad range of delegates working either for the venue or the event organiser, this course will provide basic training on how to look after their own safety and how to cooperate with the appointed health and safety officials of the event/venue.
Directing Safely at Events and Exhibitions Training
Back-to-back with the EoE and Safe Management at Exhibitions and Events training, Simon Garret will present the Directing Safely at Events and Exhibitions training – a one-day course scheduled for 2 February. It is aimed at senior management in the events industry. Simon will provide a broad overview on directing safely but will specifically focus on the legal accountabilities and directing specific health and safety responsibilities to your team.
Because the safety and security of visitors, suppliers, venue staff and those involved in the setup of an exhibition are non-negotiable, safety training is unavoidable.
