Scan Display appoints Jacob van Zyl Creative Director

Exhibition and events supplier, Scan Display, recently appointed Jacob van Zyl as its Creative Director.

Jacob joined Scan Display’s Cape Town branch as an Interior Designer in 2013, having worked as an events designer since 2006. He was appointed Head of Design in 2021, and Manager of the Cape Town Branch in 2022.

Scan Display’s Managing Director, Justin Hawes, is delighted with the appointment: “Jacob has been instrumental in building our Cape Town branch post-Covid. He has a passion for what he does, and he has brought fresh energy into our Cape Town office over the last couple of years.”

Jacob is responsible for managing the company’s Cape Town branch and overseeing large annual projects including Investing in African Mining Indaba, Investec Cape Town Art Fair and We Are Africa. He is also responsible for Scan Display’s creative direction and new product development.
