INTRODUCING THE AFRICAN EXHIBITION PORTAL
Previous iterations of AAXO-generated Directory of Exhibition Services assisted the industry in connecting with dependable exhibition suppliers, venues and organisers with the assurance that the contacts provided were reputable and of a high standard. When the hard-copy AAXO Directory was discontinued in 2019, the loss of the resource removed a strong business events facilitation tool.
When you are looking to work in a new country, it can be difficult to know where to start. It takes research to find a suitable venue, a trustworthy supplier or safe ground travel, before you can concentrate on putting your event together.
Now, as the industry begins its recovery and intra-Africa work is on the rise, AAXO is proud to announce the launch of the brand-new African Exhibition Portal. This is a high-quality online exhibitions industry resource, connecting exhibition organisers, venues, and suppliers right across the African continent. Now you can search for the ideal exhibition partner by name, by category and/or by country and this one-stop search tool will connect you with your ideal exhibition partner in a matter of minutes.
AAXO is offering a free listing for everyone in the industry, with the option of a paid-upgrade to add standout features like logos and brochures. “AAXO-approved members have already undergone high-level vetting, so they qualify for a preferential listing, but this resource is for everyone in the industry, not only AAXO members,” says immediate past AAXO Chair, Projeni Pather. “Our African Exhibition Portal aims to be truly representational of the growth in Africa and will become a valuable resource for international exhibition organisers as well. All submitted listings must meet certain criteria and will be vetted before being admitted to the resource, so that the quality of all listed partners remains of a high calibre.”
The African Exhibition Portal will also expand AAXO’s community to encourage industry growth. “It’s a way of strengthening our connection with the continent, and African cross-country relationships, allowing us to learn from each other and encouraging best practice,” adds Projeni. “This is a valuable resource and we look forward to the benefits it will bring to the industry as a whole.”
The Portal will go live in June 2022.
