Decorex Africa Virtual 2020

In a first for the Decorex Africa Portfolio, a virtual experience will replace this year’s physical shows. This interactive and virtual event have provided exhibitors and members of the trade with a unique online opportunity to engage and conduct “business as unusual”.

When we started preparing for the 2020 shows we never expected that our exhibitions would be cancelled due to a pandemic that has caused mayhem across the world. In light of the ongoing restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Reed Exhibitions Africa has looked to virtual solutions to continue to support the industry and its exhibitors.

Because this is the new normal, we have adapted accordingly and explored new ways to enable business to continue during these unusual times. While we are sad that we cannot host our physical exhibitions in their usual format this year, we are determined to do something to stimulate trade and help reignite the economy. We’re here for our exhibitors and customers and we want them to know that we value and support them.

With over 200 exhibitors, we are proud to be one of the first design events in Africa moving into a new dimension in engaging with our industry members. With the current pandemic everyone is having to adapt and innovate –and having redesigned our trade model from the ground up, we have been able to reconnect our exhibitors with the trade industry even if, on a small scale within our pilot virtual show.

For us this is just the start, following the virtual experience we will be initiating a full 365 approach to ensure all members of the trade industry can still connect directly with you through a mailer and social media campaign, in the weeks to come.
