As we kickstart 2022, we would like to sincerely wish our valued members and industry stakeholders a successful year ahead. We step into the new year with gratitude that the fourth wave has passed with limited devastation and that the government has been proactive in its approach by not shutting us down again. Our economy is in desperate need of resuscitation, and any steps backwards will be detrimental to our industry and the country.

Whilst the last two years have been challenging, it is important that we recognise our resilience and tenacity as an industry. Let us continue to grow from strength to strength as we nurture and build on the partnerships and ecosystems that are vital to the growth of the industry. Together we can elevate the industry to a new level.

I see glimmers of hope within our community with the exhibition calendar slowly filling up. The 1000 pax indoor has been a welcome relief, and the expected extension to our call for 50% capacity seems to be on the horizon.  But we must start the ball rolling; we are preparing for all scenarios, and the excitement is infectious.

It is heart-warming to see exhibitor briefings happening again, enthused exhibitors, a reawakening of teamwork, and immense collaboration amongst all stakeholders. I am optimistic that exhibitions will get back to full swing this year, and I can’t wait to meet up with you at the upcoming shows and enjoy the industry buzz that we have dearly missed.
